About the Role

As an Infusion Nurse Contractor, you will play an essential role in providing high-quality healthcare services in various settings, including healthcare facilities and patients' homes. You will collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver specialized infusion therapy, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal therapeutic outcomes. This contract position offers the flexibility to manage your own schedule, with a competitive hourly rate.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive evaluations prior to initiating IV therapy to ensure suitability and safety.

  • Infusion Administration: Expertly administer therapeutic treatments via IV lines, central lines, and venous access ports.

  • Monitoring and Response: Continuously monitor patients during infusions to detect and address any issues promptly; respond effectively to any side effects or adverse reactions.

  • Lab Work: Collect samples and analyze lab results to adjust treatment plans as necessary.

  • Patient Education: Clearly communicate treatment details and procedures to patients and their families, ensuring understanding and compliance.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians and other health care professionals to provide integrated and efficient patient care.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all treatments and patient interactions to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

  • Licensure: Active, unencumbered RN license in California.

  • Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Experience: Minimum of two years in acute care settings such as ER, ICU, medical-surgical, oncology, outpatient infusion, or similar.

  • Skills: Excellent IV insertion and management skills are essential.


Contract Details:

  • This is a 1099 contract position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance.

  • Hourly Rate: Starting at $50.00/hour.
